RÓNAN DROSERA

I am an artist, primarily a metalsmith and jewelry designer. Originally from Tucson, my inspiration in the field arrived in early childhood courtesy of the annual gem show. I began college as a horticulture/botany student, but found myself uninspired, so I moved to Portland for a few years to work as a math instructor. Now based in Fort Collins, I am currently attending Colorado State University for a B.F.A. in studio art and a minor in chemistry.

I combine my mathematical and chemical expertise with my fervent passion for metalsmithing to explore esoteric concepts through experimental techniques. Some of these techniques include developing phosphorescent transparent glass enamel, discovering unique patina recipes, and utilizing non-traditional metals like lead.
